Pub close to Stratford Intl?
Gents,

Any recommendations for a pub within 'walking' distance of Stratford International?

Got a few mates attending next week, but one of which isn't very mobile (Fat Bloke) so a walk to The Broadway etc may just finish him off etc.

I guess The Cow is the most direct pub en-route but no doubt will be rammed and could do without waiting an age to get served and paying top dollar for the pleasure.

Don't mind jumping in a cab somewhere for somewhere decent assuming you can cab it back into the ground.

Anyone know how close you can get to the ground in a cab pre / post match e.g. which roads are open?

Thanks lads and sounds like with the cab situation he's going to have to shift a few stone over the next 7 days.

Agree with The Cow....went a couple of seasons back and it was £5.10 for a Lager then....shame as it's the perfect location.

Anyone been to a boozer called The Neighbourhood....looks to be just outside the station but opposite side to the shops etc?

Is that the old Railway tavern or new one? The old one used to be an early house 6am to 9am

actually your best bet might be to get on the DLR by the international station and go to Stratford High Street. Then you can waddle to the ground via the builders and the carpenters, which is the closest pub to the ground on that side of the stadium.

By the way you can't get very close to the ground in a cab. One way or another fattys looking at at least a ten minute walk.

Tap East, right opposite as you come out of Stratford Intl.

Does get very busy, but decent and varied ales if you like that kind of thing. I like it anyway.

Providing his gut and gunt can spew over the sides without touching the ground then he's good.
